I cannot quite believe how fast this year is going…how on earth is it May already?! Life seems to be going by so quickly, it is making me ever so excited for summer. Growing up I never really noticed the seasons..they didn’t really change anything for me and everyday was just another. Now that I am a lot older, and aware of the change in seasons, I have become quite content with them all. I know living in the UK we have some pretty dull weather, but during the winter I do love to wrap up warm in thick coats, wear boots and spend time in and out of coffee shops, drinking my weight in hot chocolate. Winter seems to be a season hated by so many, but I actually quite like it. I have found ways to enjoy the different seasons, and appreciate them all in different ways. With that in mind, I will still always say that summer is my favourite. I remember last year like it was yesterday. We had good weather for a long time, I was socialising with friends and I was loving the blogger life. Everything was different last year, and I look back now and think how happy I was with that stage in my life. My hopes for this year are even higher, and I want to make the most out of the fun season. Now we are in May, it is becoming even easier as it is only a little wait away.

Jenny Han, The Summer I Turned Pretty

The great thing about May is that all the retailers are starting to bring out their summer collections. I have been completely obsessing over the things I am seeing through my Instagram feed, and have got so many outfits in my mind ready for the summer months. The florals from Oasis, the boho vibes from Missguided and the pretty dresses from Asos are all making me pray for the season to come sooner. I’m ready to leave the house without a coat and ditch my staple knee high boots, for a season of fun and laughter.
Another brand bringing out a killer collection for summer is Boutique of Molly. I work with Boutique of Molly regularly on this blog, so I was so thrilled when they asked me to collaborate with some of their summer pieces. The first is a beautiful white a blue dress named ‘Tara’. I was completely smitten when I first saw this, and jumped at the chance to style it and bring it to you in a post. It is a straight cut mini dress, with beautiful royal blue embroidery, made with a soft linen material, and 3/4 length sleeves to add to the style. It has a V-neck design, and some tassels coming from the neck to add some boho vibes, perfect for the holiday season. I had so many ideas for this dress, and decided to bring it to you as a daytime summer outfit, perfect for a city girl. To create this look, I kept it simple with some tan wedges and my Michael. The light tone colours compliment the dress immaculately, and offer style and sophistication. For the summer I am also picturing this dress with some flats for a walk around the beach on holiday, or dressed up ready to party at a festival. It is versatile and just simple gorgeous.

– have a good weekend –
