If you didn’t already know, I recently moved into a flat. Getting everything put together has taken a very long time, and after about four months it is starting to all come together. Obviously having more freedom has meant that I have been able to go all out for Christmas this year. I had to start from scratch with all the decorations, figure out where everything was going to go and make it feel like a real home. I think it has all paid off, and I am so happy with the result. I have gone for a very tradition theme of gold and red, as that is what I have grown up with living with my grandparents. I have seen Christmas done so wonderfully in modern and different colours, but to me this is the only combination. I am not going to go on too much in this post, it mainly is just about showing you the photos, which I know is the part that most people are mainly interested in. Obviously being a flat there also isn’t a lot of space to have loads and loads, so I have made use of the space i’ve got and tried my best to make it look festive but not over crowded. I haven’t spent a fortune on Christmas this year, and found so many things very reasonably priced. My wreath, one of my favourite parts was a surprise find in Homebase for £10! The little tree outside the front door was from Tesco, another bargain and most of my decorations were from Ikea. I’m pretty proud of myself if I’m being honest. My tree I got in Waitrose, a complete coincidence just seeing it when getting some food. I instantly fell in love with the shape and bought is straight away before it went. So far it has been amazing, it hasn’t drooped, nor had pines falling. I am so happy with the flat for Christmas, and I hope you love it too!
