I may be a little late joining the party, but I just couldn’t resist sharing some of my favourite photos posted on the blog over the past year. I feel like the blog has grown quite a lot of the year, and I have established my style much more as well as being able to get across who I am in a much more successful way. Something that I feel like has developed a lot is my photography, not just the quality, but how much more I am starting to enjoy it. I used to find it a bit of a chore, but now that I actually know what I’m doing a bit more it is becoming more and more enjoyable. However, it hasn’t all been an easy ride with regard to blogging. In June I finished sixth form and started working full time. Balancing the blog and work has been a much bigger challenge than I ever thought it would be. I have worked out my schedule to fit time into blogging, however I am only human and can only ever get so much done in a day. One of my main resolutions for this new year has to be balancing my time much better and treating the blog like a job. This may all seem a bit boring and dull, but when you love something and are passionate about it, it drives you to do it more. The one thing I have always wanted to get from writing this blog, is it being a place where people can come to enjoy what I have written and the images I am showing you. It makes me unbelievably happy when people say that they are enjoying my work, and always makes me want to go on and on. I have had so many kind messages and comments over the last year, making me so excited for what is to come in 2017.

Looking back at the past year, I realise how much I have actually done. I have travelled a few times with friends and family, making memories I will never forget. Right the way back in February, my partner and I went to Copenhagen. We wanted a mini break away, to see what Scandinavian countries have to offer. Wow, it was amazing. We had the most chilled time, exploring a beautiful city and enjoying each others company. A few months later in April, I then went on a family holiday, cruising around France, Greece and Italy. I love cruises, and just love being able to see so many places in one holiday. It was a little early in the season for amazing weather, so we just got to take in all the places for what they are as opposed to sitting on a sun lounger for the entire week.
In June I then went to Rhodes in Greece with my girlfriends. We went as an end of sixth form girls holiday, just to let off some steam and enjoy each others company. It was such a gorgeous week, relaxing in the sun, drinking cocktails and over indulging on delicious Greek food.
In the summer I then went to Scotland for a week with my boyfriend and his family. I had never been before, and absolutely fell in love with the place. It was literally the most relaxing week I think I’ve had since I was small. We did lots of walking, saw a few attractions and enjoyed everything it had to offer. To finish off my travels of the year, I enjoyed a few days in Palma with my grandparents just as a pre-Christmas holiday, doing some Christmas shopping and having some me time before the hustle and bustle of the festive season.
Putting it all into words makes it seem like I have done a lot, and I am so grateful for everything I got to do. I really did have a pretty amazing year, and can only ask for as much in the new year.

In the new year, I really want to carry on blogging, sticking to some sort of routine and producing the best quality posts that I can. I also really want to get back into YouTube. I touched on it a few months ago, but couldn’t stick to it with work and blogging. In all honesty, I actually found it really different to blogging and to begin with didnt really enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Now that I am more prepared and have a vision about what I want to do, I feel more than ready to give it another go. I am going to be spending a bit of time getting things ready, as I want to be completely content with what I have created before sharing it with you guys! Hold tight… it won’t be long.
This year I have also been lucky enough to work with a lot of brands and really hope to continue to do so. I always feel so happy and proud when I work with companies, and love creating the content to advertise certain products and experiences. Everything about blogging excited me, and I am so ready to take on the new year.

– happy new year –
