Whether you want a quick wrap around on the beach, or a simple dress with accessories for the evening, the wrap dress has always been a crowd pleaser and never seems to have gone out of fashion – the person we must thank for this brilliant invention is Diane von Furstenberg who designed the ‘wrap dress’ in 1974. The signature design had sold over 1 million by 1976 and has never left the fashion world since. When it was first made, Furstenberg was known as “the most marketable woman since Coco Chanel.” So obviously, the dress was a massive success! I have always been a big fan, and I just couldn’t resist doing a little research when I had heard it was the 40th anniversary of the legendary fashion piece.
This pink piece was an item from Tommy Hilfiger, and I love it. I was just enjoying the sun outside with my bunny, so I went barefoot and had pink flowers to get into the summer spirit.
