Begin Again – 2013
Director: John Carney
Writer: John Carney
I have never done a single film review post before, so I thought it would be nice to do something different. I am a big big movie lover, and recently bought this newly released film ‘Begin Again’ starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo. I loved it! It was quite different from anything i’ve seen and had a real good feel good theme.
Gretta (Keira Knightley) is enchanted by her dreams of making it big in the city, and her boyfriend Dave (Adam Levine) also shares this passion – so they move to pursue their music careers. However, Gretta’s perfect world is shattered when Dave rejects her for the fame and fortune he has found, as well as a new woman. Life gets hard and just before she decides to give up and move home she meets a struggling record producer called Dan (Mark Ruffalo) at a live mic night. He is charmed by her obvious talent and offers her the opportunity to work with him to create an album, which they will record all over new york city, each song in a different location. The film is extremely uplifting, and proves that anything is possible when you dare to dream.
– have a good evening –
