When in Dartmouth earlier this week, I went to my favourite fudge shop, which is a tradition since I was very small. It is a beautiful little shop that sells homemade fudge, ice creams, chocolates and so much more. It is called The Dartmouth Ice Cream Company. Their products are all so amazing, and one thing that I love about it is that everything tastes exactly how it says in the name. So many products nowadays focus more on the look of things – style over substance – whereas these products are just full of the flavour stated on the label.
Clotted Cream – traditional taste of Cornwall.
Pistachio – The colour of this fudge is so unusual, and it really has a strong taste of marzipan. The pistachio in the fudge brings out all the flavour.
Honeycomb – this is so good because the honeycomb gives a more chewy texture which is different from all the others.
Cappuccino – coffee coffee coffee… my favourite thing. This completely tasted of a strong espresso with the creamy taste found in fudge.
Flavour of the month – this bright hot pink fudge with hundreds of thousands on top was the shops flavour of the month and it was so good. It tasted of birthday cake!
Raspberry Swirl – this was the best flavour we chose. It was such a beautiful colour and the raspberry flavour was so distinct.
Eton Mess – my favourite traditional english dessert, and it tasted amazing. The meringue pieces added texture and it was so creamy and delicious.
Lemon Meringue Pie – another traditional dessert, and the lemon flavour was so so amazing. It was really sweet, and was just so good.
– have a good Sunday –
