I am so excited to be publishing my first outfit post of 2016, although I am still bringing a little of 2015 with me. A few months ago I was sent a beautiful necklace from Mirina Collections, and uploaded an outfit post that was very glitz and glam. I absolutely adore this necklace, however I thought I would style it in an entirely different way to show you just how versatile the jewellery really is. This necklace may be big and bold, but it isn’t covered in diamonds or it does’t have lots of colour going on. Therefore I believe that it can make a simple outfit go from boring to alive in the blink of an eye.
“The transition from a boring outfit to something entirely different always thrills me… which is probably one of the main reasons that I love styling outfits so much… THE BUZZ!”
Initially, the casual look included black ripped jeans and an oversized white tee from Hollister. This is probably a combination that you can pick out on about 1 in 3 people when walking through a shopping mall. To add a little more, I opted for black boots with a fur texture and small heel. I bought these in France a few years ago, and have loved them ever since. Seeing as it is so bloody cold at the moment, I had to wear my warmest and fluffiest coat of the season, a Zara beauty that made the outfit simply chic. All other jewellery, excusing the necklace, was plain – sticking to a silver theme. The bag I used is a Ted Baker piece, bought in the sales last year. I adore it. The leather is so beautifully soft, and the colour is so different. There we have it, a simple outfit taken to the next level by one piece of statement jewellery.
