My favourite place in London has to be the Kings Road. I love the shops, the buzzing atmosphere and admiring the clothes worn by all the Londoners. I love the simple chic trends they all adopt, and I love how their kind of casual is so much more sophisticated. I don’t think you’d catch anyone walking around in joggers and a pair of Uggs! Not that anything is really wrong with that…but I just love trying out different styles and making an effort with my clothes. I wanted to create an outfit that is more suited to the King’s Road, and share it here on the blog. Living here in Bristol I often feel held back in terms of fashion, as I feel like we live in such a more casual city. I sometimes feel a little awkward in public if I have made a real effort with my outfit – which is very wrong. I guess really I shouldn’t care, but when you have people look, you can’t help but notice and be made to feel insecure. I think this will become easier as I get older, as i’m sure I will start developing a much more mature sense of fashion. The outfit I have made would defiantly be something I would wear when on a trip to London for the day, however I feel like it also worked pretty well in Clifton village.

“A simple and sophisticated outfit created with neutral tones & light layers”

In this outfit, I began by choosing the bright white lace top. I absolutely adore this top, as it fall perfectly on me, has 3/4 sleeves for a little extra warmth, and the detailing is just stunning. It is a real head turner, and abides by a very girly and elegant style. The back is opaque, to add just another difference in texture. For my trousers, I decided to go with black cargo trousers as an alternative to black jeans. I find these trousers to be of a much more masculine style, so they paired with the top perfectly to create a chic look. The pockets and colour of the trousers just add some originality, and are so incredibly comfortable. As it is still pretty chilly here, a coat was a must need, however I went for a more spring style. It is a cream textured coat with two simple pockets, shorter sleeves and it falls just below the hips. It is simple, added warmth, yet didn’t stray attention away from the other outfit details. To accessorise I wore some leopard pumps (my absolute favourite shoes), my nude Michael Kors bag, and my signature Pandora bracelet. The leopard shoes paired perfectly with the outfit to add some detail, and the nude bag just added some extra detail.
