Todays recipe is something not so festive, yet utterly delicious. A few weeks ago I went over to a friends house, and he cooked me the most delicious pasta dish with sausages, cream, rocket and chorizo. I cannot even tell you how much I enjoyed it, so obviously me being me had to try it out for myself at home. I have probably now made this myself quite a lot, which I’m not too sure is such a great thing as it is by no means a healthy meal. I probably would not recommend eating this is you have bad cholesterol… seriously… so much fat! Nevertheless, I couldn’t resist from sharing the recipe here on the blog, as it is a recipe that really should be shared and tried by everyone. I made a few adjustments to the recipe purely just adding a few things, and getting the measurements right for everyone to try at home. It is so good, and actually is so easy. It takes less than half an hour, and is so filling. It is very rich, so I would probably not be able to eat a huge amount no matter how much I like it. 
Ingredients (Serves 2):
4 Sausages diced // 1/2 Chorizo Ring sliced // 1 Red Chilli finely chopped // Handful Rocket Leaves // 1 Cup Double Cream // 1 Red Onion diced // Spaghetti or Linguine for 2 // 2tbsp sweet chilli sauce
Start by cooking the pasta to get it out the way. Bring a saucepan of hot water to the boil and season with salt. Add the pasta and cook until soft with a slight bite. Whilst the pasta is cooking you can start the sauce.
Prepare the ingredients. Dice the sausages, red onion and chorizo and set aside separately. Finely chop the chilli. Always remember to take the paper off the chorizo which is often not seen.
In a wok type frying pan, heat the garlic olive oil. Once hot, add the onions. Cook until soft and have lightened in colour. Season with salt and pepper. 
Add the sausages and cook until browned, then add he chorizo. Keep stirring, then add the fresh chilli and sweet chilli sauce. Turn onto a power heat and stir all the ingredients together. Let it bubble away for about 5 minutes.
Turn the pasta sauce onto the lowest heat possible and add the double cream. Stir thoroughly, season and add the handful of rocket. Add the spaghetti or linguine and stir everything together. 
Serve with a little parmesan and garnish of rocket on top.
